With more than 17 years of experience as a professional gaffer, I bring a strong foundation in traditional film lighting together with a deep understanding of today’s modern LED fixtures, wireless control, and on-sett workflows. Over the years, I’ve built my lighting and grip package piece by piece from the ground up, giving me a familiarity with the equipment, how it works together, and how to adapt it efficiently to the needs of each production.
My approach is highly detail-oriented and collaborative. I work closely with production to support the visual goals of a project while keeping the lighting department organized, flexible, and production-minded. I’ve also developed long-standing relationships with trusted key grips, electrics, and grip crew throughout Southern California. That rapport matters on set: working with people who know one another well creates better communication, faster problem-solving, and a more cohesive department.
I remain passionate about learning, experimenting with new lighting tools, and continuing to refine my craft while staying grounded in the fundamentals of traditional lighting. I especially enjoy working with like-minded creatives who care about both the creative process and the quality of the final image. Just as important is customer service: being prepared, responsive, dependable, and making the lighting and grip side of a production as seamless as possible from prep through wrap.
